Standard Charted Marathon 2011 (Full Marathon) - 2011/2/20

Completed my debut full marathon in Standard Chartered Marathon 2011 ( 2011 渣打馬拉松 ) in a moderate slow time of 4:24:18 hrs.In fact I only did a single long distance session of 25 Km once in my life three years ago, and there was a middle 30 mins break to have drink at 7-11. Otherwise half marathon are already my longest training.

Honestly the distance of 42.195 Km is totally out of my range and beyond my ability.Apart from being a full marathon, this was a talent test to me^.^So many thanks to the photographers and add oil during the course especially in Causeway Bay. Sorry for failing to respond cause I was 101 % exhausted and crampling.Especially thanks a Ctse of Thaiquain (forgot her name) for giving me encouragement in the last 2 Km otherwise I might have to walk all the way to the finishing line.

Mizuno Fat Choi Run 2011 - 2011/2/5

Completed the Mizuno Fat Choi Run 2011 ( 第30屆 美津濃 發財跑 ) (7.5 K) in a moderate slow time of 36.59 mins today. However it's probably my PB in this race already.
The slightly cool and sunny weather was perfect for running race, and the scene of the Peak was amazing.

2011 Clearwater Bay Annual 10K Chase - 2011/1/23

Completed the hilly 2011 Clearwater Bay Annual 10K Chase ( 清水灣 10K 長跑賽 2011 ) in the sunny & slightly cool morning in a moderate slow time of 53:28 mins on 2011/1/23 (Sunday).

Nice to meet so many runners friends especially Saki, Kenny, Pure Joey and other Chings from LongRun.hk.Enjoyed the race^.^Had to walk 5 K to take a public light bus after the exhausted race at Clear Water Bay's bus station was really a tiring job.

SHK China Coast Marathon & Half Marathon 2011 - 2011/1/16

Completed the SHK China Coast Half Marathon ( 中國海岸 馬拉松 2011 ) in a moderate slow time of 1:57:28 hrs in the freezing morning at High Island Reservoir on 2011/1/16. I felt satisfied that despite my run was slow, I didn't need to walk in this extreme hilly race course. Moreover it's already 6 mins faster than my poor result in the same race in 2009.Nice to meet many runners friends including MJ, Mike LI, Stanley and others from LongRun.hk, hkrunners.com and Leisure Runners Club.
Enjoyed the race especially the chocolate muffin after the tough run^.^

Mizuno Half Marathon 2011 - 2011/1/9

Completed the Mizuno Half Marathon 2011 ( 美津濃 香港半馬拉松 錦標賽 ) in a moderate slow time of 1 hrs 54 mins 28 secs on 2011/1/9. Despite my feet were still tense after the 10 K race yesterday, I still found there was not much difficulties in completing this race. Strangely I barely notice there was upslope after the 1st 400 metres uphill run but found the downslope run enjoyable. Nice to meet so many runners friends from LongRun.hk, hkrunners.com, Heavy Metal Union and Leisure Runners Club. Well organized race and I enjoyed it.

Completed the TPSA 10 K Run 2011 ( 大埔體育會 10公里 比賽 2011 ) in a moderate slow time of 48:34 mins in the cool morning today.

Already completed 10 races in 9 weekends since 7 Nov 2009.

Cheung Chau RTI 10K 2011 - 2011/1/1

Completed the hilly Cheung Chau RTI 10K run 2011 ( 第十屆 長洲 元旦健跑樂 及 越野賽 ) in a moderate slow time of 56:55 mins in the slightly cool morning today. Despite it's slow, it's probably my PB in this race.

Nice to meet many runners friends from LongRun.hk, Leisure Runners Club, hkrunners.com, my Japanese runner friend Keiko, her son and her friends.

Enjoyed the race again.

Kappa Premarathon 30 K cum Shek Kong 10 K 2010 - 2010/12/26

Completed the Kappa Premarathon 30 K cum Shek Kong Premarathon 10K 2010 ( 第十一屆 Kappa 30km 馬拉松熱身賽暨 石崗 十公里賽 )'s 10 K run in the cold morning in 50:05 mins.

Despite it's still slow, it was already my PB in this race. Enjoyed^.^

Surprisingly I ranked 4/43 in my category and was just 30 secs behind the 3rd prize winner.

Kadoorie Brothers Memorial Run (5.3 K) - 2010/12/19

Completed the extremely hilly Kadoorie Brothers Memorial Run (5.3 K) ( 第16屆 嘉道理 兄弟紀念跑 ) in a slow time of 42:35 mins.

Despite it's still slow and I walked more than run, it's still 2 mins faster than my time in the same race last year^.^Enjoyed!

Just completed the Southern District Beach Run 2010 (5K) ( 南區 沙灘競跑 ) in a moderate slow time of 25:35 mins at Repulse Bay.

Enjoyed the race desite running on sands was still difficult to me^.^

AVOHK Adidas Reservoir Cup Race II (Tai Lam Chung) - 2010/12/5

Just completed the AVOHK Reservoir Cup Race II at Tai Lam Chung Reservoir's relatively hilly but scenic 15 K course in a moderately fast time of 1:25:22 hrs.

Despite the completion time was still slow, it's already my personal best in this course.^.^

Unicef Charity Run 2010 (Half Marathon) - 2010/11/29

Completed the Unicef Charity Run 2010 (Half Marathon) ( 聯合國 兒童基金會 慈善跑 2010 )in a moderate slow time of 1:52 hrs. Despite I felt a little pain in my right foot and had to tighten my shoe lace twice, I still enjoyed the race.

There was no congestion in the last few Kms of the race this time. It's really a great improvement by the organizer^.^

HK International Airport Feet on Fire 10K Race - 2010/11/21

Completed the HK International Airport Feet on Fire 10 K ( 機場翱翔活力10公里賽 ) in a moderate slow time of 50:30 mins (gun time).

Surprisingly the route is full of ups and downs contrary to my expectation of all flat route.

However I still enjoyed the race and happy to meet so many runners friends from LongRun.hk, hkrunners.com and others.

Asics 10K Challenge 2010 - 2010/11/14

Completed the Asics 10K Challenge ( Asics 香港10公里挑戰賽 ) in a moderate fast time (to me) in 49:59 mins (gun time) in the sightly hot morning today.

Failed to speed up on the soft jogging path for most of the time^.^

AVOHK Reservoir Cup 2010 Race 1 (12 Km) - 2010/10/17

Completed the AVOHK Reservoir Cup 2010 Race 1 (12 Km) in 1 hr 8 mins. My feet still felt tire after the 13 K run yesterday.

However really enjoyed the race especially my bib no. being No. 1^.^

New Balance Tai Mei Tuk 10K 2010 - 2010/10/10

Having completed the New Balance Tai Mei Tuk 10K 2010 in a moderate slow time on 2010/10/10.

I am pleased to meet so many runners friends in the race.

I succeeded in keeping a speed of 5:05 to 5:20 per Km too.

Giga Sport X-Country 10 K Run 2010 - 2010/10/3

Having completed the Giga Sport X-Country 10 K Run 2010 in the extremely sunny and hot morning on 2010/10/3.

The race route was on the site of the Disneyland Hong Kong at Penny Bay. Therefore the track was covered with grass, debris, mud and stones. Running on such trail was like having foot massage.

Despite the race course was not ideal, I still enjoyed the run. Especially the Nike souvenir tee was quite nice^.^

Adidas AVOHK 5 K Series 2010 Race IV (South Bay) - 2010/10/2

Having completed the Adidas AVOHK 5 K Series 2010 Race IV in the sunny & warm afternoon on 2010/10/2 in a moderate fast time of 24:49 mins.

The race route was surprisingly full of ups and downs. Especially the runners had to run alongside with the traffic. It was teerible to run besides a group of tour coaches which produced a lot of "dead air".

Despite the poor race enviroment I still enjoyed the race.

Tsuen Wan Asian Game 8 K 2010 - 2010/9/26

Completed the Tsuen Wan Asian Game 8 K 2010 ( 荃灣區 青少年暑期活動 閉幕禮暨長跑迎亞運 ) in a moderate time of 40:19 mins in the warm morning on 2010/9/26.

The sunny weather with high temperature and humidity really prevented me from running faster in the race.

AVOHK 5 K Series Race III (Wan Chai Gap) - 2010/9/25

Having completed the slighty hilly AVOHK 5 K Series Race III at Wan Chai Gap at 16:30 hrs on 2010/9/25. Despite the traffic jam at the trail, I still managed to completed the race in 27:56 mins which was slightly faster than my time in the same race last year.

I was happy to meet many runners friends especially Dennis couples and his cute daughter Ho Wing.

Coke Run 7.5 K 2010 - 2010/9/12

Just completed the Coke Run 7.5 K 2010 ( 可口可樂 健跑樂 7 K 2010 ) at Shing Mun Riverside in a moderate slow time 36:41 mins (sub 5 mins / K).

Due to the tighten police control on the race, runners were restricted to run on the narrow pedestrian path which making many "traffic jams". I guess the whole path including the bicycle path should be restricted for racers in the race period being more rational.

Just completed the AVOHK 5 K 2010 Race 2 at Bowen Road in a moderate fast time and comparative easy pace of 24:41 mins (4:56 mins / K).

Really enjoyed the race today^.^

Just completed the Thaiquain Cup 10K 2010 ( 第26屆 泰基盃 十公里賽 ) in a moderate slow time of 56:18 mins on 2010/9/5. I was happy to meet so many runners friends from Heavy Metal Union, LongRun.hk, hkrunners.com and others.

I was especially happy to meet an expatriate member Jonathan of hkrunners.com after the race.


It was too bad that I was overtaken by a leisure runner Janice just 50 metres before the finishing line>.<

Adidas AVOHK 5 K series 2010 Race 1 (Tai Tam Tuk) - 2010/8/28

Just completed the AVOHK 5K Race ( 元老體育會 五公里 系列賽 2010 ) I at Tai Tam Tuk ( 大潭篤 水塘 ) in a moderate slow time of 27:54 mins in the sunny afternoon on 2010/8/28 (Saturday).

Had to walk 200 m in the 1 K uphill route but speeding up while returning downhill^.^

Moreover I managed to overtake an expatriate runner (who was stronger & taller than me) before the finishing line.

I was pleased to meet and chat with many runners friends before and after the race.

Four runners were suffered from heat stroke and had to be hospitalized. Wishing them get well soon!
